Cancer Render
Cancer is one of the main characters in the AstroLOLogy animated series. She appears to be a crab-esque humanoid with pink hair in ponytails that are shaped like crab claws, with a pink shirt and skirt with dark purple stockings. She first appeared in the episode "Slow Jam" and her first major appearance was in the episode "Falling for You" in the 2018 series. She is voiced by Archana A.V Shanmuganathan. She was under the name of Candy during the 2016 shorts.
In the Japanese dub, she is named Sami (さみー) and is voiced by Maho Oga (大賀 眞帆).
Character Description[]
Cancer is the nicest, sweetest, cutest girl you will ever meet - she likes all the classically feminine things, such as fashion and flowers, and especially romance: Cancer LOVES love! Her imagination is so powerful that she often gets carried away by her fantasies, and sometimes just a glimpse of a baby kitten or one look from a hunky guy can make her swoon.
Personality[]
Cancer appears to be sweet, innocent, and kind to others at first glance, but sometimes has anger issues and will violently attack people who have wronged her or her loved ones. She is also depicted as being into tropes featured in romantic media and tries to apply them to real life, only for things to not turn out how she had hoped.

She is born around June, seen in "Sleepy Sweetie".

The constellation of the greek zodiac known as Cancer (Crab), is linked with the second labor of the mighty hero Hercules, when he was assigned by Eurystheus to kill Lerna Hydra, a horrible water snake with a hundred heads.
As the story goes, in the midst of Hercules' struggle, Hera, who was the hero's worst enemy, ordered a giant crab to go and help the Hydra by digging its claws into Hercules' foot.
Howling with pain, the hero stamped on the crab furiously, crushing it to death.
Hera, being grateful for its support and in recognition of its attempt to help her, honored the crab by placing its image among the stars, as the constellation of Cancer.

- She is mostly seen in love with Leo.
- Her name "Candy" is a Latin baby name, meaning dazzling light, bright, glowing white, implying her charismatic nature. Literally, candy also tastes sweet, so her name could be a sign of her sweetness.
